In the pharmaceutical industry, automatic cleaning is generally associated with the acronym CIP (Cleaning In Place). Certainly, automatic Cleaning In Place is very common in tanks, reactors and machinery such as freeze-dryers. GMP washers are equipment specifically designed for cleaning automatically those product contact parts that cannot be cleaned in place, so they are known by the acronym COP (Cleaning Out of Place).

HAMO is a pioneer company in the sector.  Since 1956, it is dedicated to design, manufacture, and supply cleaning equipment. As a specialized company, with production centres in Germany and Switzerland, they are strongly committed with quality and technology as elements of differentiation.
The range of cleaning equipment for the pharmaceutical field includes solutions of all kinds of applications, from equipment for washing and disinfecting product contact parts to washing machines for IBC containers and OEB 5 high containment execution.

Investing in HAMO equipment will achieve the following improvements:

Savings in hours of personnel dedicated to manual cleaning. Release from tedious, repetitive, and low added value tasks

Savings in training and qualification of personnel. Elimination of the problem of turnover or sick leave

Less frequency of inspections by supervisory staff

Reduction in the use of consumables: detergents, tools, clothing, and PPE of operators (around 1/3 or 1/4 of manual costs)

Lower PW and WFI energy and water consumption

Increased productivity by reducing downtime due to manual cleaning, especially with a drying included in a washing cycle
